Surveillance Systems
ASR (Airport Surveillance Radar)
This type of radar detects and provides both range and bearing information of an aircraft within its effective coverage by radio wave reflection. Depending on the application, the coverage will be within 60NM for approach control
MSSR (Mono-Pulse Secondary Surveillance Radar)
This type of radar provides, after processing, the range, bearing, altitude and identity (call sign) of an aircraft. The coverage can reach 250NM. A SSR can provide more useful information than PSR but is subject to the proper functioning of the aircraft's transponder. To provide the best accuracy of aircraft targets, the SSR is usually paired with a PSR for air traffic control purpose.
ASMGCS (Airfield Surface Movement Ground Control System)
The A-SMGCS technology is used for enhanced surveillance of aircraft and vehicle movements on the airfield, and provision of conflict and runway incursion alerting functions for added air traffic control safety and efficiency.
Wide Area M-LAT & ADS-B (Automatic Dependence Surveillance-B
The Multilateration techniques can also be used for larger areas such as En-Route or Approach areas. Such systems are known as Wide Area Multilateration (WAM) systems.
Communication System
VCSS (Voice Communication Switching System)
Voice Communication Switching System provides integrated voice communications for radio, telephone and intercom in one unique system with unlimited conferencing capabilities.
It provides operator access to all communication channels, regardless of the system load at any time.
AMSS
A standard ICAO ground-to-ground communication system for the exchange of air traffic control messages within the Aeronautical Fixed Telecommunication Network (AFTN)
AMHS
ATS Message Handling System (AMHS) is a standard for aeronautical ground-ground communications. It provides a user-friendly means to send and receive messages via the Automated Digital Network (AUTODIN). It includes incoming message and text processing, profiling, retrospective search and retrieval, on-line archive, outgoing message processing, and message composition and coordination.
Navigational AIDS
ILS
Instrument Landing System - A standard ICAO precision landing aid to provide accurate azimuth and descent guidance signals for use by aircraft for landing on the runway under normal or adverse weather conditions
VOR/ DME
Very High Frequency Omni-directional Radio Range and Distance Measuring Equipment (VOR/DME) System
Standard ICAO radio navigational aids used to provide bearing and distance information to aircraft and to define air traffic control routes for en-route, terminal and instrument approach/departure procedures.
Flight Information Display System
FIDS primarily display the real-time arrivals and departures information which is useful to passengers and Airport Staff in all the areas of Terminal Building and Operational Side.
This system consists of a FIDS Server which is connected through a network with display devices such as Plasma Display, Electro Mechanical Display Boards, LCD TV Display, LED Display etc.
Public Address System
This system primarily consists of hardware such as Audio Amplifiers, Equalizers, Speakers etc.
Automatic Public Announcement System
This system takes the real-time data from FIDS Server and converts it to the audio Signal. This Audio signal is fed to the input of Public Address System.
Master Clock System
Master clock is a precision clock that provides timing signals to synchronize slave clocks as part of a clock network. The master clock in such installations is controlled by an accurate quartz crystal oscillator, usually referenced to an external frequency standard such as MSF, which is part of a world-wide timekeeping system. In some cases GPS signal is also considered.
Baggage Reconciliation System
The Baggage Reconciliation System is completely automated baggage reconciliation, tracking and management solution. This system provides real-time data to handlers, airlines and airports.
The system also allows Users to track baggage through the system and permits the necessary reconciliation of boarded passengers to loaded bags.
Aircraft Docking System
This is a system which gives information to a pilot attempting to park his aircraft at an airport stand, usually via visual methods. This is also known as Visual Docking Guidance System. (VDGS)
Airport Operation Database
Airport Operation Data Base (AODB) system that collects the airport operation data from other related systems such as FIDS, ADS, BHS, BMS, CUTE etc. An AODB store, processes, analyze and presents the data for MIS reporting.
Check-in & Departure Control Systems
It automates processing an Airlines' Airport management operation. This includes managing the information required for Airport Check-in and printing Boarding card, cargo load control and aircraft checks.
Resource Management System
Resource management system optimizes the deployment and utilization of key Airport resources and record history for accurate billing of Airlines which includes daily planning of Airport resources at check-in desks, departure gates, baggage carousels and apron.
SLOT Management
Slot Management is used to tackle capacity shortfalls and manage delays in air traffic and airports.
Passenger Boarding Bridges
The boarding bridges linking airport terminals with passenger planes that freely adjust to the locational shift of the aircraft and assure boarding safety and comfort.
Travellators & Escalators
An escalator is a conveyor transport device for carrying people between floors of a building. The device consists of a motor-driven chain of individual, linked steps that move up or down on tracks, allowing the step treads to remain horizontal.
Travelator is a slow moving conveyor mechanism that transports people, across a horizontal or inclined plane, over a short distance
Baggage Handling System
Baggage Handling system (BHS) is a conveyor system that transports checked luggage from ticket counters to areas where the bags can be loaded onto airplanes. A BHS also transports checked baggage coming from airplanes to baggage claims or to an area where the bag can be loaded onto another airplane.
CCTV
Closed Circuit Television is a visual surveillance technology designed for monitoring a variety of environments and activities. CCTV systems typically involve a dedicated communications link between cameras and monitors.
Access Control
Access control enables an authority to control access to areas and resources in a given physical facility or computer-based information system and ensures that unauthorized persons cannot gain access to sensitive areas
Perimeter Monitoring
Perimeter Monitoring System helps customers secure physical assets and locations by providing continuous surveillance and real-time detection and tracking.
Number Plate Recognition
Number plate recognition is a mass surveillance method that uses optical character recognition on images to read the license plates on vehicles. They are used by various police forces and as a method of electronic toll collection on pay-per-use roads and cataloging the movements of traffic or individuals.
Fire Detection
Fire Detection system detects unwanted presence of fire by monitoring environmental changes associated with combustion & is classified as either automatically actuated, manually actuated, or both.
Explosive Detection System
Explosive detection system detects potential threats by scanning bags placed on any airplane,. It analyzes each bag and determines if the bag carries a potential security threat. When an explosive or weapon is detected on a bag, a quick alert is generated.
Parking Management
Parking management refers to program that result in more efficient use of parking resources. Parking management can significantly reduce the number of parking spaces required in a particular situation, providing a variety of economic, social and environmental benefits.
Building Management System
Building Management System (BMS) is a computer-based control system installed in buildings that controls and monitors the building's mechanical and electrical equipment such as ventilation, lighting, power systems, fire systems, and security systems. A BMS consists of software and hardware
IT Control Centres
Control centre describes the command and control facilities responsible for the operational management and coordination of workflows and processes.
VHF & UHF
VHF is used for air to ground communication and the communication range depends upon the line of sight. This includes the radio and signal transmitters and receivers operating on various frequencies used for both long-range and short-range air/ground communications with aircraft.
